This is critical to the overall life of the battery.DOn't be surprised if you experience a very short run time at first (the amount of time charge lasts).Your unit must learn the capacity of the new battery. These batteries DO need to run down on occasionto maintain longer life.All rechargeable batteries should be cycled - fully charged and then fully discharged - two to four times initially to allow them to reach theirfull capacity. If you find short running time with your vibrator, somtimes the vibrator/charger will stop charging a new battery before it fullycharged. If this happens, remove the vibrator from the charger and then reinsert it. The charge cycle should begin again. This may happenseveral times during the first battery charge. Don't worry; it's perfectly normal.The way to avoid this ""memory effect"" is to fully cycle (fully chargeand then fully discharge) your vibrator at least once every two to threeweeks. Batteries can be discharged by letting the device run on the batteryuntil it ceases to function. This will insure your vibrator batteryremains healthy.
